The Juniper ACX7024-DC-2PSU is a fixed, 1U Cloud Metro Router from the Juniper ACX7000 family, shipped with two redundant DC power supplies. Specifically, it delivers 360 Gbps of throughput in a chassis just 24 cm deep. As a result, it fits cabinets, cell sites, and central offices where space and power are tight.
In addition, the router provides 24 multi-rate SFP28 ports, each configurable as 1GbE, 10GbE, or 25GbE, plus four QSFP28 ports for 40GbE or 100GbE. Consequently, operators can upgrade customers from 1G to 10G to 25G one port at a time. Moreover, the QSFP28 ports support breakout to 4x 25GbE, and the thermal design allows high-power 100GbE ZR optics on all supporting ports.
Furthermore, the ACX7024 operates from -40°C to 65°C, so it handles outdoor cabinets and unconditioned sites. It also includes 1-PPS and 10-MHz timing ports for precision synchronization. Therefore, it suits 4G/5G mobile backhaul, Ethernet business services, and residential access aggregation.
The ACX7024-DC-2PSU ships with two hot-swappable DC power supply modules in 1+1 redundancy, rated for -48 to -60 VDC. Likewise, six integrated fans run in 5+1 redundancy with front-to-back airflow. As a result, the router keeps running through a single power or fan failure, while drawing just 97 W typical and 150 W maximum without optics.
In addition, the router runs Junos OS Evolved and supports Segment Routing, SRv6, MPLS, and EVPN-VXLAN, with Paragon Automation for management. For full specifications, see Juniper’s ACX7024 datasheet. For larger aggregation sites, the Juniper MPC7E-10G-RTU MX line card adds dense 10G capacity to MX Series routers.
Best of all, Telecom Leasing offers the ACX7024-DC-2PSU for lease or purchase, so you can build out metro and mobile networks at a fraction of new cost.
In short, it’s a 1U Juniper ACX7024 Cloud Metro Router with 24x SFP28 and 4x QSFP28 ports, 360 Gbps of throughput, and two redundant DC power supplies.
“DC” means the router uses DC power, and “2PSU” means it ships with two power supplies for 1+1 redundancy. By contrast, the 1PSU version ships with one.
Both share the same ports and 360 Gbps throughput. However, the ACX7024 is industrial-rated from -40°C to 65°C, while the ACX7024X targets 0°C to 40°C environments with more memory and higher route scale.
