The tributary side accepts customer-supplied SFP modules, which determine the supported client service types — typically Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) and/or SONET/SDH services compatible with the FLASHWAVE 9500 platform. The line side includes integrated OTN optics delivering ITU-T G.709-compliant framing with forward error correction (FEC) for extended optical reach and improved signal integrity. SFP modules are not includedDeployed in the FLASHWAVE 9500 chassis, the FC9565TGD1 participates in the platform’s unified transport architecture, which integrates connection-oriented Ethernet, ROADM, and SONET/SDH transport on a single addressable network element — making it a fit for carrier aggregation, enterprise handoff, and multiservice transport scenarios.
