The Fujitsu FC9565W8C1 (HECI/CLEI: WOCUAHW, WOCUAHWBAA) is a 9×1 Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) unit for the FLASHWAVE 9500 Packet Optical Networking Platform. Specifically, it gives operators per-wavelength control over which DWDM channels are added, dropped, or passed through at a node, and as a result, it forms the core of the FLASHWAVE 9500’s ROADM architecture. Also listed as WMP5-W8C1, it has shipped in later issues under CLEI codes WOCUAXB and WOCUA1P as well.
